REAL Values:
Tai Swim is founder-led, so her personal values are at the heart of everything they do. Tai believes in being transparent about where their products are made, what they're made of, and the stories behind each collection. They never compromise on quality. As a Hawaiʻi-based brand, they also take seriously the responsibility to honor the culture that inspires them. Tai Swim wants to celebrate Hawaiʻi, not exploit or appropriate it.

They love teaching the next generation how to turn their art into a business. Through school visits and hands-on demos, they show students how creativity can become a career. They post about their artistic process on social media. They also believe in learning from the community around them away from their screens. When they’re not packing orders, you'll find them volunteering at a local loʻi or supporting local nonprofits. They want to share what they’ve learned, give back, and help others grow. Fun fact: Tai hand sews her bikini samples to maintain the integrity of her pieces, before sending them off to be manufactured by an ethical partner. You can read more on this story by reading here!

As an artist, Tai is naturally curious. She is always looking for inspiration in unexpected places, exploring new tools, or learning about better ways to make things. Even a new Photoshop tool gets her excited. She thinks building a business means staying open to change. Some of their best ideas come from looking at ordinary things in a completely different way.

Tai is intentional about the stories they tell through Tai Swim, from the places that inspire their prints to the local connections behind them. They work with boutiques across Oʻahu, bringing Tai Swim into communities around the island. Tai wants her brand to feel like a little piece of home, even for people who have moved away. Hawaiʻi has a special way of connecting people around the world. She hopes Tai Swim can be part of that for generations to come.
